Cusa Tea has turned the tea industry on its head with their proprietary Cold Steep Technology. Jim Lamancusa created a new way to retain the great depth and flavor from tea in a powdered form. With this amazing technology, Cusa Tea has made the huge leap into the coffee industry. A tall order of course, however with their Cold Steep Technology the coffee we sampled is unlike any instant coffee we have ever had.

The second we got our Cusa Coffee we knew there would be an application in the backcountry. There isn’t a time we enter the backcountry without some sort of instant coffee on us. This is the coffee that we have all been looking for. The taste isn’t the slightest bit bitter and it is full of flavor front to back. Finally an instant coffee that is actually worth hauling in your pack.

Making the coffee:

Just like their tea, you simply dump a pouch of coffee in a cup then add hot or cold water. It is instant, no need to stir.
