Orca Hydra Stainless Steel Water Bottle: Indestructible and Versatile

By: Whitney Lannert

Hydration… A Whale tale

I was never one to rock a whale tail. Even during the early 2000s when hip huggers were, um … hip. Sorry. I had to. The Orca Hydra is about to change all that.

A whale tail is now part of my daily ensemble. This adorable water bottle and its Orca Whale Tail Handle not only makes it easy to carry and carabiner but has solicited quite a few compliments as well. And the silicone tail survived the dishwasher swimmingly. Ok enough about the tail. The wide mouth on this allows for ice and easy cleaning while the small mouth allows you to drink on the go without ending up with drink on your shirt. Which is honestly, a real problem I have. And then let’s talk about the nonslip powder coat grip. It is one of a kind.

I have been using this as my daily drinker but I really put it to the test while paddle boarding. The whale tail was easily attached to my board for safe keeping. The bottle was soaking wet and my hands were still covered from a fresh sunblock application and between the nonslip grip and the whale tale I was able to keep ahold of it while out on the open water. Last but not least, after 2 hours in 95 degree heat, there was still ice in my bottle as I pulled back into shore. If you are smart, you will start rocking a whale tail too. Happy Hydrating!
